Bournea Reaching Out 2014 is the first publication from the Bournea Reaching Out heritage group - a beautifully compiled collection celebrating the history, people, and stories of Bournea parish.

This 80+ page illustrated booklet includes fascinating local history articles, rare photographs, and first-hand accounts of community life in Clonakenny, Couraguneen, and surrounding townlands.

From the From Toor to Loran relocation story to parish walks, family histories, poems, and features on the GAA, ICA, and local schools, it captures the heritage and spirit of this rural Tipperary community.

Produced by a dedicated team of volunteers and supported by the Ireland Reaching Out project, the book also explores the parish’s connections with the wider Irish diaspora, documenting the efforts to trace and reconnect with families around the world.

A wonderful keepsake for anyone with roots in Bournea or an interest in Irish local history.
